Moments in the Meadow

Welcome back!

Tons of blessings have bloomed our way since we last met. Weariness is riding your back like an unwanted passenger, however, the promise of Friday and the week's work end pulls off the weight a little at a time.

As you step into the lush, green meadow for a quiet moment, feel the gentle tap of the grass around your ankles as the breeze calls softly to you. Cheery patches of Shasta Daisies wave a welcome. A smile begins to gently tug at your lips. To your right, maybe 10 paces ahead is a round, vintage iron table draped in a blush pink tablecloth . The Carolina sky- blue speckled, porcelain pitcher in the center of the table presents you with a bright bouquet of Gerbera Daisies. Spring time colors of hot pink, orangest orange and lemony yellow, coerce your lips to blossom into a full blown smile. Immediately, your spirit soars and weariness has no choice but to flee.

As you rest your weary bones in the heart shaped padded seat at the table, a sigh of relief escapes and your eyelids rest. The gentle breeze blows away your cares, troubles, anxieties and fears. As those flow out, the Still Small Voice of the Shepherd whispers, "I am here. You are Mine. I love you. "

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures

He leadeth me beside still waters

He resoreth my soul....

Psalm 23:1-3a

Dear sweet creation of His, breathe, and not only hear, but listen to The Voice of your Creator as He longs to walk in the garden with you. Tell Him of your cares, your concerns and your chuckles. Your God is personal. He desires an intimate, personal and practical relationship with you. Remember how He walked in the cool of the day with Adam and Eve? He so longs for that with you. Nothing is too boring for Him. Nothing is too troubling for Him.

Take your aggravating coworker to Him. Take your financial, medical or spiritual concern to Him. He loves you!

Reach down and pick the Shasta Daisy closest to you and recite, "He loves me! He loves me!"

For God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

John 3:16
