Moments In the Meadow---VBS Blessings (part 2)

Search me, O God,

and know my heart :

try me, and know my thoughts:

And see if there be

any wicked way in me,

and lead me in the way everlasting.

Psalm 139:23-24

We dove deeper into Bible lessons and one of the nights concentrated on the blind man. He was considered useless by his society, yet Jesus stopped and rewarded this man's faith with 20/20 vision.

I wanted the children to grasp the realization they were made by THE Creator, God Himself. God has never made a mistake and no matter what anyone had said or will say to them, they are not a mistake. God doesn't make mistakes. I searched for a song outside of the VBS curriculum because I wanted to imprint on their hearts how important and valuable they are to God. We learned, "I am Your Creation", by Ron Hamilton.

Dear sweet creation of THE Almighty God, YOU, yes you, are fearfully and wonderfully made. Made with a purpose and a plan by a God Who loves you with an everlasting love and no amount of anything can take that away.

I watched, as God Himself began to permeate each little heart and wash out the hurt of abandonment, parents who choose addiction over them, and a myriad of other hurts no child should ever have to endure. As the words, "You formed me in my mother's womb, according to YOUR plan," took root in their soul, the seed of Hope as only God can give began to sprout. Some skeptics murmured the brevity of the respite, however, I challenged them with how much our God can do in these brief flashes of time. Our beautiful earth took our God only 6 short days.

This sweet song closes with---

"And this shall be my greatest joy--To praise You

From my heart!"

Ohhhhhhhh, dear one, I implore you to praise Him from your heart. Not just in fleeting words and a boxed time of praise. No, when your lift your eyes from this post, praise Him for your eyes that see, your mind that comprehends the words that HE has sent to encourage your hurting and tired soul.

God LOVES you! Wrap your heart and soul around that thought and carry it with you today. For God so loved the world that He GAVE His Only Begotten Son... I challenge you to go today, right now to that all familiar Scripture--John 3:16---and ponder on those truth-filled, hopeful words in God's Love Letter He has penned to you.

Dear Jesus,

May some hurting soul reach out to You today and experience the same clear vision of your love and forgiveness the blind man experienced. I pray the blindness that evil has covered their eyes would be destroyed and this hurting soul draw to You, The God of Love.

We pray this in the sweetest name on earth--the precious name of Jesus.

Amen

Joyfully His,

Dianne
